Castle Combe Round (part 1)

Just got back from a great walk which took us from Castle Combe to Ford and back again.

Had a lot of fun experimenting with taking photos using different settings, and feel I came away with some good shots.




An interesting tree, didn't come out well when taken from here, but close up...



Really like the interesing shapes and colours in this.

Ok, I'll admit I didn't take my canon to the gig, just as well, cos it'll probably have been trashed.

New Life

Last week, I went out walking on the way to Corsham, and give the camera a try out, just taking some basic shots using the autofocus. There were lots of lambs in a field just of the A4, which were so cute, I watched them for ages. Their mum's weren't to keen on me being there, and several times I found myself surrounded by them, but they soon got used to me.

Pleased with the quality of some of my pics, but think my composition needs some work.

Aborted woodland walk

Weather looked ok when I got up, so went for a walk to try to discover my new camera. Didn't get far before the heavens opened, and since I don't have a camera bag, legged it back home, but not before I took my first couple of shots...

Special Delivery!

Just taken delivery of a new camera, a Canon EOS 1000D... OMG, gonna take me a while to get the hang of it, but hopefully I will before I go to The Lakes in June.

Looks like many weeks of fun learning, and if I get any decent results (or some funny disastrous ones), they'll be posted on here.
